The Brentford Riverside is a new riverside town centre in the borough of Hounslow in West London. The project reconnects Brentford High Street to the River Brent, Grand Union Canal, and the Thames Path. Brentford railway station is in an 8 minutes’ walk.
The plan for the site is accordingly ambitious, incorporating 112,000 sq m of floor space across eleven buildings. Architects from Allford Hall Monaghan Morris led it
in collaboration with Glenn Howells Architects and Maccreanor Lavington. Retaining several heritage buildings, the project offers an interplay of old and new that injects new energy into a stretch of waterside London. Parklands are planned and brought to life by landscape architects Grant Associates for residents to live, walkthrough, and use.
The Brentford Riverside incorporates all the necessary amenities for modern living including an old-fashioned gym/leisure centre with heated outdoor swimming pool, spa, sauna, cardio, and weights workout spaces. A boutique cinema allows residents to enjoy
a movie with friends and family, and the ground floor business center gives some space and tools to work. In the lobby, residents are welcomed by a concierge. At the High Street, a major supermarket is opened for residents alongside a bakery, greengrocer, and butcher.
