In central Istria, not far from Poreč guests will find the first Croatian villa constructed exclusively of domestic materials in the spirit of country’s traditions over the centuries. On the ground level there is a spacious kitchen with modern appliances and dining area, a living room with a library containing works from many of Croatia’s notable literati translated into several languages, and a large bedroom hidden behind its walls. The upper level is intended for relaxation and contains three luxurious and spacious bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a large balcony that allows guests to relax in the heart of Istrian nature.

At Villa Roda, guests will find the centuries old Croatia oak upon which the City of Venice stands, listen to the masterful works of Croatian musicians (Two Cellos, Maksim Mrvica and others), or play around in the kitchen with various local delicacies (truffles, olives and specialities of Mediterranean cuisine). Among the diverse offer of Croatia’s best wines, the Ilocki Traminac stands above all, and today is savoured at the English palace. It was served at the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II and at the weddings of her grandsons.

Due to the Mediterranean influence, which is conditioned by its position and proximity to Italy, Istria has always exuded a special charm, different from other Croatian regions. This was especially evident in the traditional architecture and stone houses built on the hills, numerous vineyards and green areas that are irresistibly reminiscent of Italian Tuscany. Ribari (Radetici) is a small place in the interior of Istria, located in a perfectly quiet location, surrounded by greenery, cultivated fields and vineyards.

Central Istria is one of few Mediterranean regions characterized by the quality of unspoiled natural landscapes and rich heritage. Numerous coves and hills have connected and divided settlements creating almost surreal scenery. Lulled into the Mediterranean climate nearby Poreč is an ideal stay location throughout the year.
